Exact lines from Endgame to prove that Stony is canon
1. Steve rushing to Tony’s side as soon as the Benatar lands.
Tony : I couldn’t stop him
Steve : Neither could I
Tony : I lost the kid
Steve : Tony, we did
Steve looking a combination of jealous/sad/angry when Pepper hugs Tony since he doesn’t get to hug him.

2. While trying to find Thanos.
Steve : Tony, I am gonna need you to focus
Tony : And I NEEDED you. As in past tense. What you need is too late buddy, Sorry. You know what I need, *angrily pushes away the bowl*, I need to shave. What we needed was a suit of armor around the world. That’s what we needed.
Steve : *looking like a sad puppy since his husband was clearly in pain* Well, that didn’t work out, did it?
Tony : I said we’d lose. You said we’ll do that together too. And guess what Cap, we lost and you weren’t there. I’ve got nothing for you Cap. No co-ordinates, no clues, no strategies, no options, zero, zip, nada. No Trust! Liar!
Tony proceeds to angrily rip off his arc reactor, in other words - his heart, and places it in Steve’s hand. After angrily asking Steve to put it on and find Thanos, Tony faints due to exhaustion, anger and pain.

3. Five years later when Steve visits Tony with Nat and Scott.
Steve : I get it and I am happy for you. I really am but this is our second chance.
Tony : I got my second chance right here Cap.
If you don’t see the pain in Steve’s eyes that although Tony is happy but he is not a part of it, I don’t know what to tell you.

4. When Tony returns to the Avengers HQ.
Steve is clearly more happier now and is genuinely smiling.
Tony : I just want peace. Turns out resentment is corrosive and I hate it.
Steve : *smiling* Me too.
Then they proceed to shake their hands for almost 7 seconds. If you are telling me that just friends or work buddies shake their hands for that long is normal, I am not gonna believe you.
Steve *when Tony wants to hand him over his shield* : Tony, I don’t know.
Tony : What? I made it for you.
Steve : Thank you Tony.
Tony : Will you keep that a little quiet? I didn’t bring one for the whole team.

5. Steve and Tony just staring at each other during Steve’s speech before entering the quantum tunnel.

6. At the Stark tower during 2012 battle.
Tony : Ahh Mr. Rogers I almost forgot that that suit did nothing for your ass.
Steve : No one asked you to look Tony.
Also, the “Do you trust me?”, ”I do” exchange.

7. After Thanos attacks the Avengers HQ and Tony finds Cap.
Tony : Come on buddy wake up. That’s my man.

Old Steve *to Sam* : When I put the stones back, I thought maybe I would try some of that life Tony was telling me to get.
Sam : How did that workout for you?
Steve : It was beautiful.
So, instead of staying in the present and not moving on, which he clearly wouldn’t be able to after his love’s death; he goes to the past and stays there. To live his life with the only other person he has loved besides Tony. If you remember AoU, Steve tells Tony that the guy who wanted a family, etc. went under ice 70 years ago and this is a new person. But after Tony’s death, instead of being stuck without going nowhere and not moving on; Steve decides to follow his late love’s wishes and tries to live a life that his husband wanted him to live.
