Challenge #10
In your own space, talk about one of your fandom firsts. This could be your first fandom, your first fandom friend, the first fanwork you created, the first fanwork you interacted with... The options are endless! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I've been in fandom along time. I was in my late 30s and I am now considered elderly by some. I feel pretty much the same.
I am trying to think of a fandom first.
The first fan group I started was back in Yahoo Groups' heyday. I just got into the LOTR fandom and all I was seeing was nasty infighting among the fictional character and real person crowd. Also, the Legolas/Orlando Bloom group was full of 14 year olds writing dreadful self inserts (If these are your things, just ignore that). I wanted a place where writers cold write and post without so much judgment. I started my own group - Lord of the Rings Adult Fiction. Not all the fic was adult but only adults could join. At one time, we were getting 100-200 story and chapter posts a week. It grew into Of Elve and Men, finally becoming a mulitfandom site.

Tropes... hmmm. I guess we all have them and mine are a vanilla bunch.
First times are one of my faves.
Love fix-it fics.
Friends to lovers
There could be more.
