“She’s going to write a Snowflake Challenge fic about us,” Bucky said to Steve as he dried the dishes after Steve put them in the drainer.
“Don’t you mean about me and Tony?” Steve knew she write a lot about him and Tony, some of it even true.
“Not this time.”
“What about us? We share an apartment and I do most of the work while you go to therapy.”
Bucky laughed. “Sure, you do.” He knew Steve read a lot, jogged and hung out with Stark a lot, a whole lot. “Anyway, what do we do that would be interesting enough for a fic?”
“Nat coming over tonight?”
“Nah. She mentioned something about sharpening her knives. I never know if that means she’s really sharpening them or out slicing up some villain.”
“Wanna watch baseball?” Steve asked. He still loved the Dodgers even if they did betray Brooklyn by moving to LA, of all places.
“Sure. Why not?”
Steve turned on the game and Bucky grabbed them both a beer from the fridge. They settled down on the sofa.
“This ain’t much of a fanfic,” Bucky commented as he twisted the top off of his beer.
“Sure it is. They’re called ‘slice of life’ fics.”
“So basically, watching us watch tv and drink beer?”
“Pretty much,” Steve answered.
“I’ll never understand fandom,” Bucky said and turned his attention to the game, forgetting all about fanfiction when Mookie Betts hit a home run.
Steve laughed as Bucky dropped his beer and it splattered only a little as it landed then righted itself. “Neither will I.”
