MARVIN THE MARTIAN

Garibaldi wanted to be left alone. He’d had enough of everyone and their problems for one day. He just wanted to spend a little time with Daffy Duck and maybe Marvin the Martian and big bowl of popcorn. It was better therapy than liquor had ever been and all it did was make him dream about cartoon characters.

That was a small price to pay. Or so he thought.

He drifted off to sleep and the next thing he knew, he was looking down the barrel of Marvin’s Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator and Marvin was saying, "Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!"

Garibaldi sat upright on his sofa, gasping for breath.

He searched through his vids for something less frightening to pass the evening. He chose The Exorcist and settled back for some spider walking fun.

At least it didn’t take place on Mars.
