The Sleeping Beauty Series by Anne Rice (The Claiming of Beauty, Beauty’s Punishment, Beauty’s Release
Worst Drivel EVER! Anne Rice, on her best day, is ponderous and tedious and these were not written on her best day. First, I have no idea why anything deemed erotic must have BDSM in it. Many people do NOT find this erotic in any way and I am among that number. Second, even if I liked BDSM, these books are not erotic.
Why?
They read like badly written fanfiction. The characters have no character and the sex is blah at best. There is no real plot to speak of. These books give the rumor that Stan Rice wrote all the vampire novels(or at least the good ones) for his wife a lot of credence.
