[community profile] questionoftheday asks: What is your comfort item?

My answer:

Hmmm... I have a stuffed kitty that I used to sleep with, but the one thing that will calm me when I'm nuts is Star Wars - episodes 4-6. I was very ill in the 90s and spent a lot of time on the sofa and in bed...I had a video tape of all three movies that I'd put in and run the whole series... and they calmed me and helped me sleep.

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: About how much social media interaction can you handle before you get overwhelmed?

My answer:

On my writer's group at FB--- all day. We are a nice small group of old fandom gals and guys and we have nice discussions.

Everywhere else on FB? One minute then I play games at FB. I just look at a few things on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. I post a lot on DW and LJ still and write a LOT. My feed are filled with people I know IRL and most are trumpers and MAGA-ers... and we have NOTHING in common except I know them.

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: Has anybody ever broken your trust? Did they ever win it back?

My answer:

We had these friends, a couple, one of whom who hubby worked with, and we were all besties for 10 years or so... it turned out, unknown to us and his wife, that her hubby was a swindler, a cheat, a gambler, a womanizer, a liar and many other things. He screwed us all... and no, we haven't heard from him in 25 years or so. He sent holiday cards a few years at first but I never acknowledged them at all.

I have found myself looking on social media for him once or twice... I found his children and it looks as if they are doing well.

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: What is the most expensive thing you have ever broken?

My answer:

My dentures. I have dental implants and over dentures and I have a tendency to break the dentures. I've killed a few cars too.

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: How far would you be willing to go if your survival was at stake?

My answer:

Depends on what you mean by how far. Would I kill someone trying to kill me? Yep. Would I undergo horrible surgeries? Been there, done that...

So I guess I'd do what it takes...

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: Do you ever have any recurring dreams? What do you think they mean?

My answer:

I have several... haven't had them in a long time

Mushroom cloud dream - I've had these since the mid-60s when my dad decided a 5 year old needed to know about nuclear weapons and mutually assured destruction. To be fair, I did ask. The meaning is self explanatory.

Plane crash dream - I see plane(s) crash in front of my house. I think these might be a variation of the mushroom cloud dream.

Then there is the looking for someone lost dreams - I've had these on and off. The who I am looking for changes. Since Sara died, I actually am asking people to tell me what they did with her body so I can bring her home and bury her. I think this one is pretty self-explanatory as well.

Hey, you asked...

My answer: To assume that I have a soft life. People who assume that know nothing about me.

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: Which of your vices or bad habits would be the hardest to give up? Have you ever succeeded in giving them up? Did you keep free of this bad habit or did you eventually start doing it again?

My answer:

Not sure I have many bad habits left. Never had a lot in the first place. I stopped smoking 27 years ago or so. I smoked a year or so when my daughter died then stopped again. If writing fanfiction is a bad habit, well I ain't quitting that!

OOH, another one! From [personal profile] kara_mckay - [community profile] questionoftheday

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: Apart from the internet/social media, what do you do in your free time?

My answer: I write and write and write. Fanfiction. When I'm not doing that, I hang out with my hubby - we watch lots of tv and love movies, dinner out, coffee at Starbucks.
