1) What's the furthest place you've traveled to in the last 12 months? The the nearby city of Winston-Salem for doctor's appts. It's about 30 miles away.

2) What's the most interesting small town within driving distance? Pilot Mountain is my favorite. It has several small businesses I love - like a great cupcake bakery, an art shop,  some crafty places and it's also the town where we bank and buy our groceries. It has a population of about 1600 and a lovely mountain that gives the town its name. Here's a link to see the mountain: https://www.ncparks.gov/pilot-mountain-state-park/home

3) What's the coolest tourist attraction in your city? I live in the middle of nowhere but another nearby town is the birthplace and childhood home of Andy Griffith from the old tv show: The Andy Griffith Show and it was actually based on the town and surrounding area. There are museums and lots of show related stuff to do there.

4) What was your favorite road trip you took as a kid? Every July, we would travel, along with several other families, to Kure Beach, NC for a week of fun in the sun.

5) How often do you feel like you've got to get away? Now, it doesn't matter. It isn't safe but soon, we hope to do some traveling - maybe to California and back to Germany. I think a getaway would do everyone some good these days.

1. What is your favorite place? Wow!... I love the beach, Berlin, Jenny's house, Deadwood...

2. What is your favorite place in your home? MY sofa I guess

3. Would you most want to live in a city, a suburb or the country? I live in the country but I prefer a small town or suburb. I've been robbed twice and shot at once since I lived in the country.

4. What is special about the town you live in? Well, I live in the country but a nearby town, the won where I ship and eat and such is the hometown of Andy Griffith and many of the places in the fictional Mayberry actually exist in this little town.

5. How much time do you spend in nature? None. I am an indoor girl all the way. The outdoors has 90 plus degree heat, high humidity, snakes, dirt and bugs.

1. Did you enjoy your senior year of high school?
I didn't really enjoy any school. ever. I was bored to tears until I got to college.

2. Did you have a senior trip (high school) and were you able to go on it.
Nope and Nope.

3. Was graduating (from either high school or college/university) a big thing with your family or just another day?
My parents were quite proud of my academic achievements and were proud of my graduating. I was the first and still one of only 4 to graduate from college on both sides of my family.

4. What were you looking forward to the most after graduating from either high school or college/university? Being done...

5. Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your graduating self? Get drunk, sleep with men and women, burn bridges, raise hell... don't be such a good girl.

1. Do you make up a dinner plan for the coming week? No. we sort of have the same things from week to week – our favorites, usually.  It’s day to day. Id we know we're doing something special, we add the ingredients to the list.

2. Do you make up a shopping list and stick to it when shopping? We do make a list and we stick to it, for the most part.  We normally buy groceries at the Walmart Supercenter every 2 weeks.  I take the non-food list and hubby does the food. He calls me from the grocery section if he has questions.  We do add things now and then and no one gets mad with offlist additions..

3. What is one thing that you always buy, but never put down on a list? I don’t think there is a thing we do that with.

4. Is there anything that you always think you are out of and come home with it to discover you already have a year’s supply on hand? Cans of beans and soup. I tend to buy up things like lotions and body washes when I have coupons too.

5. Do you get your groceries delivered? I live in the rural south – no such thing though they do have an order ahead and pickup option at the local store now. I've not tried it yet.
