THE RECEPTION

“Han! Come on! It’ll be fun!”

“Fun? Wearing monkey clothes and shaking hands with politicians? Leia, You’re nuts. I’ve been to wars more fun than that.”

Leia was working on her hair and jewelry, almost ready. “Han, I’m a senator. I have to go to the reception,” she called over her shoulder as she fastened the last clasp into her elaborate hairdo.

Getting her husband to act like something other than a smuggler was always a huge challenge but he was worth it. He was actually a good man.

Sometimes.

But not tonight.

“Get ready and let’s go, Han. Now.”
