4. Favorite book of your favorite series: Dead until Dark by Charlaine Harris
I like this one the best because it’s the first one and from the first page, it had me. Sookie was so different than any other character I’d encountered in paranormal and urban fantasy. The tone is set for the whole series in the first book. We meet Bill and then Eric, who are both very important in the entire series and we also get to know Jason and a few other folks we’ll see time and time again in Bon Temps.
We also meet Bubba from Memphis, one of Ms. Harris’ many little giggles in the series.
