THE ADMINISTRATOR
John Sheppard was tired of Atlantis. He had come to think of it as home. Even to the point of feeling homesick when the Ancients asked the Stargate team to leave. But now he wanted to be somewhere else. Atlantis was parked in the Pacific Ocean, in an area too remote to be easily found by anyone. Way out in the middle of nowhere.
There was nothing to do. Not a single thing. Rodney and Zelenka were running tests to determine if the ship could still fly. Teyla and Ronon were studying Earth customs before they were allowed to move to the mainland to live among other humans. Lorne had signed on with a Stargate team and was going out on missions throughout the galaxy. Almost everyone was busy with some new and exciting mission.
But he was stuck here on Atlantis. He was the administrator and chief of operations for the city, which basically meant that he sat behind a desk and signed papers all day. He didn’t know how Elizabeth or General O’Neill had done it. He didn’t know how anyone did it!
He sighed and pulled another document from the stack. He was so tired of Atlantis.
