Day 6
In your own space, create your own challenge. What’s something you want to see more people doing in fandom? Is there something you’ve tried that you think other people would enjoy if they gave it a go? Dare your friends to try it out, and have fun with it. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Drabbles!
I dare you all to write drabbles and ficlets galore. Try doing one every day for a month - randoms ones, one that make a single story, ones from a single fandom.
Why?
I feel like they are wonderful lessons in learning the use of words. Too many of us use too many words. We waste words all over the page and sometimes, we can bore our readers to tears with too much description of things not really important to our tale. Only being able to use 100 words helps you learn to pare a story down to its bones. When you can do that successfully then you will be more able to write well and concisely without losing the heart and soul of your story.
