This one is easy and delicious!
Crock Pot Apple Butter
5 lbs. apples
2 Cups sugar
2 Teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
Peel and cut up five pounds of apples or enough to fill a 3 and half quart crock pot. Turn the crock on high and let them cook all night. I normally cut mine down to low when I go to bed. In the morning, I add 2 cups of sugar, 2 Teaspoons of cinnamon and ΒΌ teaspoon of apple pie spice. Mix well and turn the crock pot on high and let the apples cook all day or until they are as thick as you wish them to be. You may need to adjust sugar to suit your taste.
Put them in half pint jelly jars and seal. Yields about 5 jars or 2 and half pints.
