Day Sixteen

Sometime in the last few days, someone broke into our basement. They cut both screens and then broke a window and evidently crawled in. They took nothing but we have no idea if they came when we were home or away. They left their wire cutters and lots of footprints but our local sheriff's dept. doesn't investigate break-ins. They'll make a report so we can get our insurance to repair our windows.

I'm looking into getting an alarm system with the local phone company. Their prices don't look too bad and I'd feel a damn site better.

About ten years ago, we got broke into and they got the tv, Sara's Cds, Larry's guns, the dvd player, playstation and all the games as well as an entire drawer from my desk. It took forever to get that all replaced.

And I've been afraid down here ever since!!!
