Today has been ... dull maybe. I'm not sure. I can't seem to concentrate much on anything. I finally managed to write my daily ficlet after three starts. Now I have to post here.
Ugh!
We finally ran out to the store to pick up a few things. Larry is working on the lawn mower and I'm doing mostly nothing. The pollen is thick already and everything has bloomed as if it were already May instead of the first few days of April. We had almost NO winter this year with a few days in the teens and twenties and the rest fairly warm.
NOt sure if it's the change of season or the bed but my hips and legs hurt pretty much all the time for the last few weeks. I really don't like our new bed but it cost so frakking much that we're stuck with it. I may move into the guest room just to see if it's the bed. DO NOT BUY A SLEEPNUMBER BED! It's the closest thing to a waterbed I've ever slept on and I hated the waterbed with a passion! We only got it because several people had talked about how much they liked it. I wish we had a nice soft REAL mattress.
I've been reading this fun series called Rogue Angel. They're put out by the same folks who put out Harlequin books but they're not romance. They're a series about a girl named Annja Creed, an archaeologist and sometimes reality tv host who inherits a special sword and encounters all sorts of bad guys. The books are written by Alex Archer, which is a pen name for several writers who take turns writing the books. They're fun, like a female Indiana Jones and we all know how much I love Indy. Don't expect deep plot though... they're just for fun!
I'm glad to see that Luin77 and Larian both are joining me in posting daily. Now if we can just keep Larian from going back to the DARKSIDE (Facebook) permanently.
Going to make country fried steak with peas and dumplings for dinner. Yum!
