Charlie Sheen is a complete and utter jackass. There is nothing else to say about him but that isn't going to stop me.

I hope that CBS tells him not to let the door hit him on the ass on the way out. I did not see his interviews this morning but this quote alone would have had me taking a ballbat to my television. He "said he's "tired of pretending I'm not a total, bitchin' rock star from Mars.""

Poor dear. He's squandered what little talent he actually had over the last year with drugs and alcohol and who knows what else. Mind you, the best I can tell, the only real talent he ever had in the first place was being Martin Sheen's son.

In a word, "blech!"

Wonder if he, Britney and Lindsay shouldn't form a morons club for people who have everything but can't manage to remove their heads from their asses long enough to enjoy it.

Rating: PG
Author: Alex (alex_cat_45@yahoo.com)
Type: 150 word Drabble and a Half
Note: For [livejournal.com profile] luin77, who asked for a story using this prompt:
When I look back
I see the landscape
That I have walked through
But it is different.

All the great trees are gone.
It seems there are
Remnants of them
But it is the afterglow
Inside of you
Of all those you met
Who meant something in your life
Summary: Oropher has come here to Barad-Dur and the end of all things.

~~

ENCROACHING DARKNESS

Oropher remembered what the forests looked like before the darkness stunted and deformed them. The trees had been tall and majestic, guarded by the Ents since time out of mind. He remembered when the waters ran clear and cool. It seemed like more than one lifetime ago now. It seemed almost like a forgotten dream.

He remembered when he had come to the Greenwood from the ruins of Doriath and started a new life with his wife and a band of elves who wanted the same things he did. He had given shelter to them, both Sylvan and Sindarin elves and they had named him King.

Now it was all in jeopardy. Darkness was poised to destroy them all, the old evil from before time. And it wanted to destroy all the free people of Middle Earth. But the evil could not be allowed to prevail, no matter the cost.

I want to thank all of you for your prompts, reading and lovely comments on my 28 drabbles for the month of February. This is something I enjoy doing, working within the structure of having to limit the words to an exact number. It's a wonderful exercise in learning to say what you mean clearly. It is a terrible cure for my already brief style of writing but who cares?

For March, I am taking my cue from the NaBloPoMo site and using this theme:

First and foremost, however, we need to talk about next month's theme for daily blogging: IN A WORD. It's meant to be both an inspiration and a challenge: you can choose a word (perhaps by going to either Save the Words or One Word) to build a post around, or you can try to find one word that sums up whatever's going on in your life each day when you sit down to compose your post. You can talk about the power of words, your favorite words, or what happens when we're at a loss for words.

I invite you all to join me, either as a word blogger for this month or even as a word giver. I may write an essay, a story, a quote found that converys something meaningful about the word of the day but I've love you to join in! So if you've got a word you'd like me to babbleblog about, just put it in a comment. I dare you all to word blog too!
