JAYNE’S SWEETHEART

Jayne Cobb stood in front of the small mirror in his quarters, preening. He sure was a good looking rascal! The girls were the lucky ones, wherever they landed next. That much was for sure! He couldn’t wait to get some.

Then as clearly as if she were a real woman, Vera said to Jayne, “I’m the only one who loves you, Jayne Cobb.”

After almost peeing his pants, he turned around and looked at the shiny weapon lying on his bed exactly where he’d left her after he cleaned and polished her. She never moved nor did she make a sound.

But – just to be on the safe side, when they did go planetside, he gave Vera a big kiss and promised her a present when he returned.

Jayne thought she seemed pleased with the red satin ribbon he tied around her barrel. At least she said she was.

Today the foot is much better. Yay! Did a bit of laundry today and did my universe_today update. Also farmed and restauranted some too.

Tomorrow I'll be keeping Lydian for her mom and Larry to go to court again. This one is Jeremy's assault thing. I'll be glad when he's far away or in jail to stay for awhile! Maybe I can get Lydian to pose for a photo or maybe I'll just steal one from her Mama's FB.

Well, losing the 10+ pounds is already having an effect on me. I've been sleeping much better and can even snooze on the sofa without the apnea waking me. My rings and watch are loose too. Now if my clothes would get loose! :)

Need to get a few more things done so we can turn in early so I'll say goodnight!
