THE CURSE OF FEANOR
Feanor was determined to leave this place, no matter what. Why could they not see that Morgoth must be destroyed, that his stones *must* be returned home where they belonged? Those stones were sacred to him, to all elves. He had been divinely inspired when he crafted them and now the elves wanted to stay here in Aman while the Silmarils were in Arda.
He knew that he could inspire many of his cousins to come with him and that his sons would come was a foregone conclusion. Would they be enough to defeat the fallen one?
He realized that he had no care for their lives as long as he got the Silamrils back. He knew that he could talk them into coming with him. They all listened to him as if he were blessed by the Valar. He knew in his heart that he was damning them all. He had seen it in Nerdanel’s eyes. She never lied to him, never deceived him.
He knew it all but still he managed to take his sons and his cousins and go to Arda, to damn them forever for his own lust and greed, much like that of Morgoth himself.
