HI all,
I have been taking a look at OEAM and the place is nearly dead. I want to keep it alive but I have no clue what to do. I know there are still websites that are doing well in the LOTR fandom. There are various reasons for this, both good and bad but I won’t go into that.
We still have over 900 members at LOTR Adult Fiction alone and we have probably several thousand archived stories at OEAM. I am seeing perhaps one story a week being posted at OEAM. I know there is still plenty of writing going on. I know there are new writers out there. Are we so old and stodgy that they skip us?
Ideas! I need some ideas on improvements. I added many of the fandoms you asked for but that really didn’t do much for the traffic so that wasn’t it. Help me out here. Do we need more contests? More challenges or swaps? More fandoms still? A feedback option at the site? What?
I will point out that the self-load will not happen. I do not have any funds coming in from outside to help with the website now so I will not be able to go any higher than I pay now per month for the website.
Please send your ideas to me or post them to the groups.
If you know good LOTR writers, please invite them in.
Thanks for all your support.
Alex
