As her human friends know, Patricia was also a wonderful friend to felines. She made a safe home and provided for kitties that were strays, when she personally had so very little.
In thinking about a way to honor her memory, I found Dog & Kitty City, a no-kill animal shelter run by the Humane Society in Dallas, Texas where Patricia lived. If you wish, you can send a donation and ask that it be made in Patricia's memory.

*Personal note: I did not know Patricia well but we exchanged holiday cards and I loved the sweet little gifts she made at Christmas. I know how many people she touched in the LOTR fandom and here on LJ and I will miss her.
