Have they lost their minds?

While I realize that Serenity belongs to Universal, give me a break. Is Universal promoting the 'verse? Is Universal out selling t-shirts and fan gear to fans? Can you go to your local Walmart or Target and buy Firefly/Serenity merch?
NO.
Browncoats everywhere are responsible for the movie even being made. Now the movie company craps on the very fans who saw the movie over and over and bought the DVD's.
Just who does Universal think goes to see movies? Do they think the gratis showing to critics is what sells movies? Serenity/Firefly fans from all over are who sold this movie, both online and in real life. "Hey, you gotta see this series/movie" is surely what got me into the fandom and probably most other people.
Perhaps no matter how much we like a series or movie, we should boycott those companies who are fan hostile. Let them feel the pinch. I already seldom buy books from authors who are fan hostile. I usually try to get them second hand so the author and/or publisher will not make any more money on the product.
Like Gollum said, "We be nice to them if they be nice to us." If they don't, screw them.
