I have returned from Deadwood
Sep. 27th, 2006 09:35 amWe got in last night from a week in Deadwood, SD with the lovely
larian and an all too short day and a half with the just as lovely
spacebee.
Deadwood was great! None of you know but I'm a huge fan of Western US history and I love "cowboys and Indians"! I was thrilled to go there! Wild Bill! Calamity Jane! Rushmore! Crazy Horse! The Badlands! and last but certainly not least, an 8 hour drive up and back into Montana to The Battle of Little Bighorn National Park! It rocked.
I have found that I certainly could not make a living on slot machines. We won't even talk about that! :) But
larian could!~ She won and won and won! Little Warg helped too. I am trying to talk Larry into going to Cherokee for some more one armed bandit fun!
GG acquired some pets in Deadwood: a little brown buffalo named Buttercup and his best friend, Snowball, who is of course, a little white buffalo. Pictures will follow soon, I hope. GG told me that he thinks he'd have made a good gunslinger and after visiting the Little Bighorn, he figured soldiering would have been a bit more dangerous.
I have tons of pics... about 500 meg, Larry says. I will hopefully get some up soon... but knowing me, I may be 50 before I do.
luin77, I will send you some prints of them to put in your photo book! Oh, and I got your package! Thanks!!!! :)
Now I need to get the five loads of laundry that I brought home done and go to Walmart for some groceries and to pick up a prescription.
OOOH and I have Black Hills Gold! Lots of it! :) And many Sturgis shirts with skulls and stuff on them!
Happy belated BD to
rumil_of_lorien! *hugs and kisses*
