Miscellaneous
Nov. 14th, 2004 08:02 amWell, I postponed my tonsil thing. I decided that I just wasn't up to it yet. The last time I had surgery near the holidays, I felt like shit the whole time. And hubby is doing a huge project at work and they took my meds away. I have realllllly bad knees and without some anti-inflammatory, my bad knees are even worse. So I decided to wait until later.
I've been writing some new things... and have all manner of started fics. And books to read. And short stories... I am scattered right now. I have been doing lots and lots of Anita Blake Fic and am having a wee bit of trouble getting back to elves. Do you have ANY idea how many LOTR stories I have written? Literally hundreds, I think. Anyway, I am working on the last 2 chapters of Lord Celeborn's Book and several Elf things.
I have an original piece started, not sure where that one is headed. It wants to go dark and ugly but I was thinking more angsty and sad. I guess we will see! I sometimes lose control of my fics to the characters!
We watched The Punisher last night. I have to say I enjoyed it. Thomas Jane has a really nice abdomen and there was no chance to peep at it left undone. Besides that, I have a thing for comic book heroes. Any time someone ties John Travolta to the bumper of a car and burns him, that's a good thing too.
Watched The Boondock Saints yesterday too and liked it much more than I meant to. I have been reading a tad of fiction and looking at
hidden_hero's wonderful artwork. Some of the deleted scenes just scream for PWP! Yes, they're twins! And they're rather hot in their human scruffiness. Like I need more slashiness! Argh!
Oh, and like I have extra room in my head, Alexander and Hephaestion decided to move in before the movie and make me read history. I blame the History Channel and their 3 hour Alexnader thing. I guess I shoudl have expected it. Now, if they didn't make me cry so damn much!
Was awakened this am by pain in my right side. I think it is possibly a kidney stone or a UTI... not sure which but I suppose time will certainly tell. Not much fun but the once I got up, the pain wasn't quite so bad. I hate feeling bad!! Just hate it.
Am spending the morning reading fiction at LAF and Oeam. I get so behind. And I've been in such a dither too. Well, off to read some more. Later.
