Vampire Books

Could not stand it and bought Laurell K. Hamilton's new book yesterday and have read until my eyes hurt. I am not a fan of the character of Anita. I have met Anita in every Mary Sue I have ever read. She is Mary Sue to the bone, just like Lestat is Mary Sue to Anne Rice's bones.

BUT her boys... the vamps and weres and things that go bump in the night are perfection. They are perfection to every girl who ever wanted the vampire to stake the hero's heart, or the werewolf to eat the idiots who chased him with their silver bullets.

I do love me some vamps.

If you like a delightful romp through gory, scary dark and yet funny vampire hell, read Poppy Z. Brite's Lost Souls.

If you like a bit more humor and a more likeable female lead, try Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampires Series. Her Vamps have exotics names like Bill and Eric, but they're still a pretty good read!

If you like Vamps who arent really monsters but just another species altogether, read Christine Feehan's
Dark Series romances. Amanda Asheley's arent bad either.

OH and read Dracula if you get a chance...
