Yuletide and such

Anyone doing Yuletide this year? I've done it a couple or three times and I'm thinking about giving it a skip this year. It never gets posted in the list at the comm and no one ever reads or reviews them besides the one they're written for and of course Lairan(thanks!). I will say that I've gotten some lovely stories written for me there. Opinions?

How about the Genfic Swap Challenge? I sort of want to do it but I'm afriad I'd get some stupid junk like Maedhros and New York City. Not sure I could write 1500 words of such... crap. Opinions?

Oh and I'm trying to talk Lord Celeborn and the Elf Lords into a small Halloween fic. Ideas?

I think junk like 'you make your own luck' and nothing bad will happen if you read this book or that book is plain simple BULLS**T. Postive thinking is a good thing and will help you see the brighter side of life but it will NOT keep the bad away and anyone who thinks that is a fool.

Luck and curses are just silly as is most pop psychology.
