Snowflake Challenge - Day 7

I usually say something like be nice to one another or something lie that, but I'm take a page from

phyncke and actually talk about a real challenge. I might even start a DW blog for it. I love drabbles... and love to write them. Some months I write a drabble a day for the whole month - some have a theme and some are random ones. But I think I will start a Drabble Challenge Community here and maybe elsewhere with a daily prompt and perhaps other fun things during the year. So I challenge you all to join me and let's write some drabbles. If you have ideas or want to join in the fun, comment below or contact me.

Do you consider drabbles to be: 100 words exactly, any multiple of 100 words exactly, or "short" (defined however you like)?

I love the discipline of the 100 word and multiple of 100 word form. It's like a puzzle totell a good story in an exact amount of words.

But if I did start a community, maybe a freeform short fic would be a thing as well... you made me think about that.

I see the appeal of exact-word-count drabbles, but it hits too close to what I did for a living (editing) so it's not a challenge I enjoy doing often. But I'm always into more short-fic communities. I tend to write long and I can use more practice containing myself :D

Here it is... I decided on drabbles/flash fic/short fic... to give us more flexibility and freedom.

ooooh drabbles! I used to write fic for a 300 word max comm, and that was a challenge. To hae a limit of 100 words would really require strong wordcraft!
