Snowflake Challenge - Day 5

Challenge #5

In your own space, promote a canon/talk about a part of canon that you love. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Canon - I love canon in any fandom. But since I write slash as often as not, there isn't a lot of canon that fits that mold.

BUT I do like to write in the bounds of canon. I like to slip my stuff into the canon.

Most of the fandoms I write in have more than one canon - usually movie and books... like Tolkien and like Marvel. Both of these fandoms have a HUGE written canon. Tolkien wrote all his life on his and many people have been writing since the 1930s on Marvel canon. That's a lot to stuff into a few movies. It gives the writer tons of material though.

At this point in time, I might prefer Marvel because it even has multiverses in which reality can be almost anything you want it to and sort of still be in canon.

In summary, I love both Tolkien and Marvel canon and hope to explore most even more. I am thankful for the place to play and hide from reality.

Frankly, reality sucks right now, so I approve your choice.
Thanks for continuing with the challenge!

Indeed.

There's so much Marvel canon it can be confusing to someone (*coff* me) who got into the fandom via the movies. The fun thing is learning about those other 'verses from reading the fic.
