Snowflake Challenge - Day 11

Star Wars: A New Hope (which was not called A New Hope until many years later). I am one of those old enough to have seen it in the theater in 1977. I was 17 years old. Years later, when I became very ill, Star Wars and the others in the trilogy became my constant companions as I watched them over and over while I was unable to get out. I also read the many novels in what was renamed 'Star Wars Legends' by Disney when it threw out a great body of work for the repetitive things they are now making. While I am glad that the franchise goes on, I am saddened that Disney has turned it into a 'Disney princess' thing.

The House of Mouse has quite the side-eye about how they're doing Star Wars, but I don't quite understand how they're making out a Princess place, unless there's a thing I'm missing in a tie-in or something.

I see that idea. They are definitely echoes of the originals with different characters. I'm still not quite convinced it's a total rehash, but I won't naysay someone who feels that way.
