Because I'm still nerving myself up to touch ours to see what it feels like! (My husband already has.)

I almost died in 2008... I had an ischemic colon and my kidneys had already shut down by the time I got to the hospital. After three surgeries, several weeks of dialysis and 6 weeks in the hospital. I came home... rather battered but still alive.
Larry's dog was elderly and he had apparently had a stroke and he was under my car, the rear wheel, to be exact. I didn't know he was there and ran over him... we had to have him put to sleep.
I grew up on a farm and we had electric fences for the cattle. The current would shock but that's about all. We were fond of daring one another to touch or grab the fences. Dumb kids! The odd thing about electric shock is that it's hard to let go of the fence. You kinda have to jerk away from it. You can take a long weed or grass stem and touch it with that - it should give you a milder shock and is easier to let go of.
