In your own space, talk about why you are doing the Fandom Snowflake Challenge? What drew you to it as a participant? What do you hope to accomplish by doing these challenges? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I have done this challenge for several years and have had a lot of fun. The challenges make me think about why I am in fandom, about where I would be without fandom. Sometimes I just need a refresher as to why I do so much work in fandom and why I am committed to so groups within fandom. I am here in fandom because I want to be here. The people are more family to me than my own relatives are and I can be more my real self here than anywhere else.

At the end of the day, fandom is home and I want to do this challenge to make me appreciate it more.

THIS THIS THIS. I was thinking about this as I was typing up my entry to today's challenge. I always think about facebook, and how minimal my presence there is as I can't actually *be* on that site in any meaningful way. But fandom is a completely different ball o' wax.
