Day 12 - Fandom Snowflake Challenge

Day 12
In your own space, talk about what you bring to fandom. It can be something tangible, or not. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I bring tons and tons of fiction to the LOTR fandom, some of iot is even pretty good! I've been writing since 2001 or there around so there are LOTS of stories at Of Elves and Men. I have written in many, many other fandoms as well.

I also host several Yahoo sites that still have some activity, several LJ sites, a Big Bang, Of Elves and Men itself is my site though I do have a wonderful webmistress(BButtercup) who does the actual posting for me. I run a multifandom drabble challenge at LJ, I do a biweekly update in the Babylon 5 fandom as well.

I try to participate in as many challenges and such as I can: I do drabbles, I write in two Big Bangs a year, I do both Slashy Santa exchanges in the LOTR fandom and I do Yuletide as well. I beta read for 2 authors all the time and do one time betas for several others.

I really do love my fandoms and I really do love the fans!

EDIT: I read this and realized I sound like an arrogant ass but I'm not. I do all these things for love of the fandom and fans... I don't read as much as I once did but I do still read and try to leave a note to anyone who I read. And about all I'm able to do is sit on my butt so i do have a lot of time for fandom!

I started my fandom career at OEAM, albeit under a different name, so thank you for the work you've done with that. ♥

I was worried you might ask! I'm so embarrassed about my old stuff, and it's still there for people to see. It's the epitome of bad!fic.

I was Bernsteinnixe

Oh god. My secret is out now.

You don't sound like an arrogant ass at all! This is simply a straightforward telling of what you do for fandom. I think we're often taught that to state our virtues baldly is impolite, but it's just not true. No need to hide that light under a bushel.
