Superman
Until Christopher Reeve's accident, I thought, "He's just a movie star."
Afterwards, I was amazed at this man. He, when he could no longer stand, stood taller than most men around him. He was a hero to me because he gave so much back. I read the other day that he called or write to at least four paralyzed people personally every week to offer his encouragement. This was a small thing he did on a personal level. He also worked for a living because insurance companies have limits on benefits and even a rich man's money will run out if he doesnt make more. He fought to get more research done to help people with spinal cord and head injuries. He established a foundation to help fund these things and then worked to make money for it too. He wrote books to encourage us all to go on, to never give up.
As Faramir would say, there is a man who showed his 'quality'.
