1: The best book you’ve read this year:
I haven’t read but 3 books this year and each was very different. I’d have to say that the best was Jim Butcher’s Summer Knight. This is the fourth one in the Harry Dresden series. Harry is a wizard and a pretty good one who hires himself out for a living. He’s kind of scruffy and always in deep trouble with the White Council, a group who oversees the world of the paranormal. In this book, he is propelled into the middle of a war between the fae, the Winter Queen and the Summer Queen that could upset the balance in the real world and bring forever winter or summer.
I like Harry more than most of the heroines in urban fantasy. He does have special powers but being irresistible is not one of them. IN the ill fated SYFY series, he was played by Paul Blackthorne and I have to say that he’s a VERY pleasant face for Harry.
