FIC: Drabble: Just Like Nerdanel, Tolkien

Title: Just Like Nerdanel
Fandom: Tolkien
Disclaimer: I do not own nor do I profit from these characters.
Rating: PG
Author: Alex (alex_cat_45@yahoo.com)
Type: 200 word Double Drabble
Note: This is set in modern day. For [livejournal.com profile] sbyte, who asked for this: ‘As Fëanor suspected would happen, Erestor made plain clothes look like a fashion statement. It wasn’t the cut of the cloth or expense of the outfit that caught the eye. It was the elf wearing it.’ I did not use the quote but I did use the idea.
Summary: Feanor finds Erestor fascinating.

JUST LIKE NERDANEL

Feanor’s imagination was extremely good, but Erestor was better than even he’d thought anyone could be.

And he didn’t seem to know it. Or at least he pretended not to know.

Erestor was Nerdanel’s cousin and he was much like her – brilliant, beautiful and Erestor infuriated him almost as much as Nerdanel did. The only difference was the color of their hair. While his wife had fiery red hair, Erestor’s was the shiny black color of a raven’s wing.

Feanor signaled the waiter for another drink. “Give him another one of whatever he’s drinking.” He motioned toward Erestor.

The waiter grinned. “He already has three.”

Feanor groaned. He was on his own this time. He took a swallow from his glass and rose. He made his way over to Erestor’s table. He looked down at Erestor and smiled.

“Hello, Erestor.”

Erestor looked at him and raised an eyebrow. “What do you want?”

“May I sit?”

“I can’t stop you.”

“Why must you be so much like Nerdanel?”

“It’s what you like about me.”

“It’s not all I like.”

Erestor picked up one of the drinks and took a sip. “Tell me more, Feanor. Tell me much more.”

“Very well, then.”
