Dark Fic:A Mother's Love and some Notes
First the notes:
The Series: The Betrayal A note
I am doing a series on Maeglin. I find him to be the most fascinating of elves and have been researching him for a long time. I was going to do one massive fiction but if you know me at all then you know that I am better with small bites...Someone once told me that one should eat an elephant one small bit at a time.
So, I decided to do the story in a series of stand alones that all fit together to tell his story and all the betrayals that made him. It is canon to a point. Then it is AU as in it is MY interpretation of what happens to Maeglin. Tolkien says he is evil but I wanted to know why.
I am odd but when I read On Maeglin... there are hints at darkness in the relationship between Eol and Aredhel and in the one between son and both parents. I have a dirty mind.
Anyway, this is the first little story. It is dark and ugly. Not for the faint of heart. None of it will be. It is called A Mother's Love.
