Name your 10 absolutely favourite fandom ships (try to pick different fandoms). Ask people to see what trends and similarities they notice about your ships.
10 pairings I like:
1. Celeborn/Galadriel -- They are canon, Tolkien's thousands of years love story. What's not to like. (LOTR)
2. Legolas/Gimli -- I'm sorry to all you squickers but these two are as close as the Professor himself came to slash. (LOTR)
3. Jack O'Neill/Sam Carter -- Jack and Sam never got their story in the series. I like to write it for them. (SG-1)
4. Jayne/River -- Opposites attract, I suppose, and I love to make Jayne in love with someone he's scared to death of. (Firefly)
5. Gil-galad/Cirdan -- They just go together. Slashy or not, I like them together. (LOTR)
6. Jean-Claude/Asher -- Canon and perfect. Who needs Anita? (Anita Blake)
7. Anakin/Obi-Wan -- They were made to slash. (Star Wars)
8. Alexander/Hephaistion -- One of history's greatest and strangest love stories.
9. Alexander/Bagoas -- They were the first slash pairing I ever read though it was Mary Renault, not fanfiction.
10. Kirk/Spock -- A very recent find as I began to rewatch the series. I was a bit distracted by Checkov when I was 7 and thought those two were old men. They are quite, quite slashy!
Honorable mentions: Legolas/Aragorn, Boromir/Aragorn, Denny Crane/Alan Shore(Boston Legal), Aragorn/Arwen, Celeborn/Haldir, Celeborn/Gandalf.
Ten Pairings I Do Not Like (even though I may have written one or more of them):
1. Legolas/Thranduil -- A bit squicky. (LOTR)
2. Anita Blake/anyone -- I don't care for her. I will read the canon novels but in fanfic, not much. (Anita Blake) A friend did write an Anita story that was excellent though.
3. Maglor/Maedhros -- Don't hate it, just don't see it. (SIL)
4. Maeglin/Idril -- Again, just don't see it. (SIL)
5. Simon/Mal -- Just no! Mal loves Inara! Or Jayne! (Firefly)
6. Teal'c/Anyone -- Just can't see the big guy in a romantic way though I might could see Teal'c/Jack . (SG-1)
7. Elrond/Twins -- Nope, nope. (LOTR)
8. Arwen/Galadriel -- Ewwwww!~ (LOTR)
9. Frodo/anyone -- Not in romance anyway. Frodo and Sam make good friend fiction. (LOTR)
10. Harry Potter/anyone -- Not my fandom but I really only see that young boy, who is not sexy in any way at all, not even grown up. (Harry Potter)
