I am feeling snarky

so just to be snarky,

I decided that from now on when I buy books from authors who do not tolerate fanfic, I will buy them used so as not to make that person any more money!

I see nothing wrong with making up stories about one's favorite characters and posting them in a free manner. It really is flattery and makes for a wonderful fanbase, I think.

Storm Constantine has even published fanfiction. Lynn Flewelling started out writing fanfic and then moved on to novels yet she doesn't allow fanfic. I find I lose interest fairly easily in authors who have this policy for the most part. It has been runored that Anne Rice goes as far as to stalk fanfic writers (but then we all know she nucking futs!).

Onto another subject... more snarkiness:

Why do people post cryptic shit? If you want to keep it private, make it private. If you want to make it public or flist only, then dammit, say something. If you don't have anything to say then don't post.

Simple? I think so.

Onto to other subjects:

Use Cuts...I don't want to have scroll through War and Peace to get to the next entry.

Don't post about RPG's as if they're real. They're not. Which is NOT to say don't post about them.

Don't post about you sex life unless you ask if your friends really want to read it. I KNOW I don't... EVER want to.

Don't ask on my list(s) about other archives. I simply don't like it.

In a related topic, do not pimp your other damn archive on my list(s) without asking me first.

And that's about it for today.

Have a nice day! LOL!
