An Update at Last

I am still around despite not posting much lately

It's time to make reports on my last few weeks, to any who are interested.

On November 17th, [livejournal.com profile] luin77 arrived from Germany. I fell in love instantly with her. She is the kindest, gentlest soul I have ever met. We stopped on the way home from the airport for Taco Bell, as they do not have such delicacies in Germany! We got home and got her settled into her room. It was as if we had always known one another. She and I ventured out to Wal-Mart, as they do not have those in Germany either, and had fun looking at the tons of stuff. For lunch, we tried another menu item at the Bell. We explored the sites of my home area and went to hear hubby's band play. I think Jenny like both BBQ and Bluegrass music. We ventured out to Borders and the Mall to buy more books and such!

Monday was [livejournal.com profile] larian day and her flight was delayed but she knew us when she saw us! She was as much fun in person as online. And she loves Chexmix as much as I do. We sat up almost almost all night the first night gabbing and giggling! We continued the giggling all the next day as we visited Mayberry and thru dinner and until some wee hour of the morning. Jenny found a corner of the sofa that lulled her to sleep every time she sat there!

Wednesday brought [livejournal.com profile] spacebee and [livejournal.com profile] rumil_of_lorien!

Miss Bee came in about lunch time after an overnight redeye flight. She is the coolest person I'veever met. She arrived with sweetgrass to bless our getting together. We all just vegged all day... yacking
and having tons of fun. Heather arrived later in the afternoon after spending the night in VA with
[livejournal.com profile] jastaelf. Heather is gentle and beautiful. She has the most wonderful voice and accent! We all decided that we MUST exchange presents and it looked like Christmas morning with elves cavorting
about all over the place! We stayed up late and talked and talked>.

Have you noticed that this was actually a very long Pajama Party?

Did I mention Little Warg? He is such a naughty kittie-thing! He misbehaved for the rest of the visit!

We had Thanksgiving dinner with my family at my mother's house. I was so glad to have all my
friends there. I really missed Sara that day. It was one of her favorite holidays. We saw Harry Potter
on Friday and ate yummy Greek food followed by hot Krispy Kreme donuts! There was much squeeing
in the donut shop! Saturday, we did Mayberry (as in The Andy Griffith Show), shopping for little
goodies at the cool little shops on Main Street. Saturday night, we ate and giggled some more.

[livejournal.com profile] rumil_of_lorien had to start back home so we all just hung out, with much eating and
packing and giggling going on! [livejournal.com profile] larian and [Unknown site tag] bugged out way early Monday and we took [livejournal.com profile] luin77 to the airport Monday night.

Spent Tuesday making sure all had gotten home safely.

Went to eye dr this week and got better report on Glaucoma and got my new glasses. They're not bad.

The week got ...well, bad after the girls left. We made three trips to the monument company to try
to get Sara's stone done right. The person who took our order in AUGUST had not managed to get
one thing correct even after we had gone over it and over it with her. My husband literally cried as
he finally talked to the owner of the company and finally the stone was made to look like we ordered it.

Thursday the stone was set. It was both beautiful and horrible at the same time. There is a line in a
country song: You've never seen lonely until it's written in stone." That line conveys how it felt
better than I can convey it. I will post the photo in a few days. It's absolutely beautiful. Sara would
have been pleased. I miss her so.
