BUCEPHALUS

He is as light as a feather when we ride across the plains of Persia. He has but to move his knees to tell me what he wishes of me. I will do anything he asks of me. I live to please him. It was not always so with me.

I was angry the day he chose me. Other men had been cruel, beating me and frightening me with their screaming and yelling. Then he came to me. He was but a colt himself, and a small one at that. When he spoke, my heart listened and when he touched my face, my soul calmed. I gave myself to his care.

He grew into a strong man, a man that many other men followed out of love and devotion. Other men followed because of his strength. They too gave themselves to his care. We rode to Persia and beyond, battling Darius and claiming the lands for Greece. I was never as proud as I was on the day we rode triumphantly into Babylon.

I am becoming old and battered these days. I will carry Alexander until I can no longer do so. I will carry him until my dying day.

I am to grumpy for many words today. Got gout again... after only about 3-4 weeks since last attack. We believe it has something to do with lising weight.

Speaking of weight, I've lost just over 16 pounds now and some of my clothes are a bit looser.

I've almost finished all my drabbles for Feb. and still haven't decided on my fandom for scifibigbang. Help??
