Yes, she had a point but she was rather a fucktard about it. She is wens by the way from the dispatch_box community. Needless to say, the fic is no longer there.

...why would she be calling him "Holmes" and/or "Sherlock" when she
barely knows the guy?

Shouldn't it be "Mr. Holmes"?

Irene Adler may be morally suspect, but she at least knows how to play at
gentility and not be overly familiar or vulgar.
