Snowflake Challenge - Day 7
Challenge #7
In your own space, create a list of at least three things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a wishlist of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wishlist if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
I had to give this one some thought since I've been absent from fandom most of the last year. Here goes:
1. Fanart of any of my Marvel or LOTR fics, this includes icons. Link to my works. Also podfic is wonderful.
2. Rec new fandoms...I like superheroes, space operas, LOTR type fantasy.
3. Are there any Mad Men fans out there? I'd love recs, chitchat, opinions...Really anything.

Wish Granted!
Nimona kind of smushes all that together!
Also excellent is The Dragon Prince.
For books, the works of Dennis L. McKiernan especially Mithgar. It's LOT(rest of serial number filed off).
My original superhero fantasy is Polychrome Heroics, and A Conflagration of Dragons was inspired by the macroeconomics of Middle Earth regarding Smaug.

For superheroes, if you can find them, CB Lee has a Sidekick Squad series, starting with Not Your Sidekick, that'll give you superheroes and supervillains as if it were managed like pro wrestling, but also with shady conspiracies and interesting powers at use. Also, lots of good queer rep in each book.
Nimona also gets a good rec, in both comic and movie forms.

It's funny because Mad Men was such a big thing but by the time I saw it it'd been off the air for a few years and every time I tried talking to someone about it they hadn't seen it. No one I know has seen it.

And Don is so interesting and infuriating and so many other things.

Been in my head since shortly after the movies, but before the Hobbit *censores* ...
Goes something like this ~ several years after the Ring is destroyed tribes of Human slaves; descendants of those inhabitants of Mordor etc taken by Sauron and his predecessors start appearing in the lands their ancestors held millenia before.
Hijinks ensue, as 'twere.
Since Peter Jackson decided to movie-fy the Hobbits I've kind of fallen out of love with LOTR; with increasing rapidity since Tolkiens descendants sold the rights. The idea keeps on popping into my head, but I do not see myself doing anything with it.
If you think you can run with an idea like that, you are welcome.

I don't know how much you've delved into Marvel shows outside of the MCU, but definitely the Netflix Marvel shows (Jessica Jones and Daredevil in particular), Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Cloak & Dagger, Runaways, and Legion. For DC superhero content, there's Doom Patrol.
For science fiction/space opera, Battlestar Galactica (2003) is the one that I always highly recommend to people. There's also The Expanse, as well, both the show and the books, another big recommendation.
When it comes to LOTR-type fantasy, my mind immediately goes to Legend of the Seeker, even though it might not be exactly the same. There was also the short-lived The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance show on Netflix that was criminally cancelled after one season.
If you're someone who is into or at least curious about Dungeons & Dragons there are a plethora of things out there featuring that TTRPG, whether it's in actual-play online content (Critical Role, Campaign 1, is the classic staple of this storytelling format) or in mainstream media (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves).
