Don't Teel Clint
The Avengers had just returned from another go at Red Skull. He and his Cabals were forever trying to destroy the Avengers and take over the world. It was a normal day for the Avengers. Steve had showered and walked into the conference room. Tony was at his computer as he always was.
“Did you know that People on the internet write stories about us?” Tony asked Steve as he came through the door.
“Why would they do that?”
“Well, we are famous.”
“What kind of stories?”
Tony motioned him to sit down. He had one of the stories he’d found on the screen. Steve read a few lines.
“How did they know about us? Even Clint doesn’t know that and he’s nosy as hell,” Steve asked him.
“I think they just make up stuff.”
Steve read on and Tony noticed he was blushing. “Are you sure they make it up? How does -” Steve paused to look at the screen name - “alexcat knows I like it when you do that?” He pointed to a paragraph he’d just read.
Tony looked over it and laughed. “Cap, everybody likes that. I thought you knew that.”
“Don’t you find it creepy and invasive?” Steve was working up to righteous indignation.
“I find it kind of flattering. We’re as famous as rock stars or movie stars. People are writing fanfiction about us.” Tony preened a little, something Steve was used to. As a matter of fact, everyone was used to it.
Steve looked skeptical but nodded. “Just don’t tell Clint about it.”
Clint walked in the door. “Don’t tell Clint what?”
Neither man said a word.
