About this Snowflake challenge stuff.

I want to say this:

I chose to help out because I said I would when asked.

I don't know what all the fuss was about, exactly, and I was not involved in any way at all. I signed up to help out as a commenter. That's the total of my involvement.

I have been in fandom over 25 years and I don't play games. I noticed a couple of people have dropped me on DW. Their loss. Certainly not mine. I certainly haven't taken any sides and I honestly don't know many of the people at the comm.

I think it's fun to do and I do it.

End of story.

I sort of say what I think. It's either a virtue or a curse, but there's not a lot of subterfuge with me.

I tend to try to do the same. Mostly, I will try to be kind and diplomatic when I speak up, but I don't set out to deceive people. Though I have to say that I also think that's how all parties in the Snowflake debacle feel.

Probably true. Most of us have decent motives for the things we say and do. I have to admit that I am not always very diplomatic.

Fandom Snowflake is such fun that I'd hate to see it end.

25 years! I've only been in fandom for about 20, other than loving Star Trek TOS since the 60s.

I don't know what the Snowflake challenge is, but I support your involvement in it.

I watched Star Trek: TOS with my dad every week when it originally aired. I adored Chekov. He was just so cute.

I've so far out of the loop that I didn't even know there was drama.

I volunteered as a commenter a few years back, but got burnt out (I have to stop volunteering for things before finding out how much effort is involved). But even though I don't always keep up each year, Snowflake is ultimately the only reason I interact with anyone on Dreamwidth because before I found it, I hadn't the faintest idea how to connect with anyone else.

I've met several of my friends at Snowflake Challenge.

Last year I volunteered but there were so many others, I didn't have to do much. This year is short so it's busy! Trying to get back into fandom stuff anyway so I don't mind.
