and not a meme...

I finally have a new LOTR piece done. Its actually about 14 pages, which is an epic for me. AND I believe it calls for a sequel. I love the first and second ages. Their tragedies are so epic and intense. I cannot write Gil-galad without crying, nor think of the death of Celebrimbor without a tear or two, not to mention Gondolin. Oddly, I think of the pain that must have driven poor Maeglin to betray his kin. It is rather funny in a way because we think of LOTR and Tolkien giving us a happy ending. BUT its not. The triumph is draped in sorrow. Arwen died bitter and alone. Sam had a happy life but always felt the pain of not having Frodo around. The elves left...left the only world many of them had ever known for another. Faramir lost his brother and his father. Eomer and Eowyn lost Theodred and Theoden. The costs were so high to return the king to his throne...

UM yeah...did I mention I like tragedy?

Did an Alexander piece with Cleitus and Hephaestion and and RPS with Val Kilmer and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. All those will go up tomorrow or tuesday. I'm working a little het fluff with Arwen. She is my favorite she elf to write. I may do a second one too. It would seem that my LOTR muses are alive. Celeborn says I must write several featuring him. I am, at this time, reworking a piece that I never finished about him and Celebrimbor. Got a bit of a Timeline fic from a bunny from Larian. It's slow but its coming along. There's also a song by Nickelback that is dancing around in my brain saying Karl over and over.

So it would seem I can write again. If RL would just let me have the time!

We are watching the silly football game later today. I dont even know who is playing but I am making soup. We usually have chili and such but it usually gives us bellyavhes so we decided on soup and homemade cornbread.

Its about 60 degrees outside...lovely weather! Maybe I'll take a walk too!
