Yes. Camps allow you to define the word count to your liking but I don't think classical nano allows it?

Yes, Nano is officially 50k on one novel. Rebel Nano-- where you participate by writing or working on something that isn't a novel-- is whatever you set your goal to be. Camp Nano, which happens in April and July, is set your own goal and project type.

Nanowrimo is basically a goal of 50,000 words within one month. It's do-able, I've done it, but it does help to have a story perched hard on the brain before diving in.
