Yahoo Groups Closing

Everyone seems to be coming unhinged about Yahoo. I really don't know why. I have several Tolkien groups - the ones that OEAM website was made from. No one has posted to them in YEARS and I deleted the OEAM website this year because no one was using it but adbots. Since we worked very hard to make a self upload site and all the people who wanted it never used it, I said to hell with it. OEAM will be archived at Ao3 whenever they finish with the work... I have heard NOTHING since June when I signed all the documents for that. I have a query sent to them.

I have no idea why there is fiction in any of the files at my groups. I certainly asked people to post it at the website instead. There are quite a few photos at several of them. If you're a member, feel free to nab what you want from those.

If there is interest, we might open a chatgroup at Discord (or even a Facebook group). Let me know if you want to be a part of that and I will make it so.

I uploaded at the site. I admit my output in writing has gone down tremendously the last 2 years.

Discord doesn't like me and to be honest, I"m not overly fond of Facebook Groups. *shrugs*

Would you be okay to add me to the lists? I used to be a member of LOTR Adult Fiction, OEAMSlash, and Silmarillion_fic years ago and got rid of a bunch of groups when I left fandom for a while in 2009 or so. I just want to see the messages I posted and save them if I can. It may be paranoia, but I can't shake the feeling that I have fic I posted to mailing lists that I never transferred over to AO3 and I want to check to be sure. I lost a lot of data along the way, particularly when I moved from the US to the UK.
