Day 17 - Random Love Month - Books

My favorite travels have been those made in the pages of a book. I can go almost anywhere in the world on a plane but the only good way i can travel to ancient Greece, to Middle Earth, or to meet Sherlock Holmes is in a book. These things have been my best friends since I was a wee little girl...

My local library - I honestly buy books much more than I do library because they simply don't have much and I don't like the time constraints.


And my favorite bookstore. Yes, it's bigbox but my local bookstore is shitty - they have Trump stuff all over and don't know anything about books.

In my little town, the library is struggling -- every patron/reader counts, quite literally! So I try to do my share to help their stats and often check out books, audio-books, etc., etc.

When the weather is nice (in other words, not now), I walk down and back which is good for my overall health. :)

We have 4 libraries in the county and 4 towns. I live at least 10 miles from any of them.

Yikes, that's not good! Do you have any used bookstores near?

We live out in the country. I actually have to drive 5 miles to the local gas and beer store. (Actually it lottery ticket store for Larry). We used to have some used book stores in nearby Mount Airy but I don't think there are any left. The B&N is about 30 miles away as is the best used book store so we go there now and again - usually in conjunction with Dr. appts in the city. We get coffee and hang out a while at the B&N. Most of my books are from Amazon and B&N online - cheaper prices and free shipping with memberships. Larry reads lots of ebooks.
