2017 Snowflake Challenge - Day 2

Day 2

In your own space, share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life. Something that impacted on your consciousness in a way that left its mark on your soul. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I was 17 when it came out and I was amazed. The story - a quest story delighted me and I adored them all. It became more over the years as I read the actual interesting books that were published and loved the movies(Before Didney screwed them up). For me, there is a part of Luke in all of us. Leia was more than just boobs(even in her metal bikini) - she was a fierce and brave freedom fighter who was willing to give up everything for right.
Rogue One actually made me feel the same way about the heroine as I did about Leia.

Yes, Star Wars was epic in its first run. Such an event! I never read the books, but maybe I'll check them out.

It was a fantastic film and just hopeful in the run of films, after gritty realistic things that were enjoyable in their own way. This one had the music and the heart to carry it into fandom realm, for me. We all went to see it on a Sunday 9 a.m. showing, but I was the only one to see it again the next day.

I'm looking forward to Rogue One since hearing about it, and also from your rec. Maybe this week? Dunno yet, but soon. Very soon.

I was 18 when the first came out and just like you I was amazed and delighted. I would love to own them on DVD but it seems you can only get the screwed up editions these days. (Han shot first, damn it!)
