The Cold Warriors

Between the end of the Korean War and the fall of the Soviet Union, there was a war fought in silence. The men who fought this war and died nameless and unacknowledged were the Cold Warriors. You will not see their names on monuments nor hear them spoken of as heroes.

But they were.

My husband was one of the Cold Warriors, serving in the Air Force Security Service from 1974-1978.

I salute the warriors of the Cold War, for their silent resolve to keep us safe and free.
