This weekend is the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and all the tv stations on earth seem hellbent on reliving it in real time.
WHY?
It was a terrible day and reliving it won't help anything. The dead are still dead. The wars drag on endlessly. And the US is more petty and suspicious than ever before. And 9/11 gave us Homeland Security, the American Gestapo.
The day has paled in comparison for me since events in my own life have far overshadowed anything I felt that day and I personally have no need to live one of many horrid days over.
Plant a tree somewhere. Visit a neglected grave and bring a flower. Donate time or money to your favorite charity. Those are fitting memorials.
