Books free to a good home.

I have a few books that I don't need... well, I have hundreds but I found these this morning. All are hardbacks and I would ask $3.00 for shipping. Just email me to claim them and we will work out details. After 2 weeks, they will be up for sale at Amazon.com. I just thought I'd offer them to you guys first. Outside US shipping would be more.

The Wayfarer Redemption--Sara Douglass
The Complete Handbook of Novel Writing by various authors.
The Persian Boy-- Mary Renault. (both are circa 1972 edition)
Destiny--Elizabeth Hayden (book club)
Getting Lucky--Susan Anderson (book club)
Enchanter--Sara Douglass

Brokeback Mountain, the story

I finally dug around today and found my copy of Annie Proulx's Close Range... and I read 'Brokeback Mountain'. If anyone ever thinks that a story has to be wordy and full of description to be effective and emotion-charged, they should read this one. I did not cry until the last paragraph and probably those who know me will understand that:

There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can't fix it you've got to stand it.

Go read it.
